The global community Dear Editor It’s great reading your magazine items on all the different beers of the world and the UK? Would it not be a good idea to give you subscribers/readers a definitive list of suppliers of the world beers!?

The advertisers in your back pages tend not to supply the more ‘extreme’ (‘interesting’) bees, like Dog Fish Head etc!! I’ve also never seen specialist beer shops (or wine shops with good beer selections) selling these!

There is no excuse in this so-called globalised economy for having any scarcity of supply between advantaged nations!

Otherwise, what’s the point?

Steve Beresford Isle of Man, UK Labels: another answer...

Dear Editor One method of beer bottle label removal is by using Vistafoil book covering. This is the clear plastic sheet that’s often used by libraries to protect the dust covers of books.

Make sure that the bottle is completely dry, then carefully cover the label to be removed with Vistafoil – making sure there are no air bubbles.

Once this is firmly in place, carefully peel back the covering and the label which should be attached.

However, this does mean that the removed label has a clear plastic covering, rather than the original print finish (better than nothing?).

I suggest that a few trial attempts be made in order to perfect the technique Jeff Utley Otley, UK A recommendation Dear Editor I was browsing your website and noticed that I could not find any reference to the Kruetzburg Beer made in a monaste.....
